A whole community can only survive and develop with clean water. For the majority of people in these regions, clean drinking water is not naturally available, but rather hardly reachable. Usually girls and women have the obligation to get water for daily needs from water points that are often many kilometers away. Therefore missing the opportunity of going to school or investing their time in an apprenticeship.
Providing near safe drinking water is thus one of our most important areas of work. Jointly with the population and our partners, we drill and renovate wells and build protected water tapping points in order to improve the lives of girls, young woman and their families for a better future.
